IMA PIP Workshop on Numerical Simulations of Complex Fluids and MHD

Meeting time and location.
The workshop will be March 1--3, 2010 at Penn State in McAllister Bldg. room 114 on the
Penn State, University Park campus in State College, Pennsylvania.
The Monday session will begin at 9:30am sharp.
The Tuesday and Wednesday sessions will begin at 10:00am.
The workshop will end by 3:00pm on Wednesday.

Topics.
Mathematical modeling of complex fluids and MHD via an energetic variational framework, numerical models and methods
for simulation, and lab experiments for a variety of these materials.

Banquet. On Tuesday, March 2, 2010, there will be
a traditional chineese dinner banquet at the Golden Wok
restaurant, tel. 234 1102. The cost is $25. The
Golden Wok restaurant is at the intersection of College and Atherthon
Ave., about 10 min walk from the hotel (walk down on Pugh and then
take a left on College Ave.). If you plan to attend the banquet,
please make sure to register by filling out the above simple registration form.
